Control, growth, and progress: the RoutiGo approach behind Crisp’s success

For years, Crisp worked with RoutiGo on a delivery operation that adapted to growth, peak periods, and new markets. What started as route planning evolved into a strategic partnership that provided control, flexibility, and scalability.

Crisp, the grocery app for the best taste, collaborated with RoutiGo for the setup and optimization of its delivery operation. Now that Crisp is partially transitioning to in-house tooling, we look back with Laurens Verploegh – Business Analyst Delivery – on a partnership that was much more than just software.

From start-up to scale-up: RoutiGo as a strategic partner

Crisp quickly grew from a start-up to a scale-up, which consistently brought new challenges. Laurens Verploegh sees a clear common thread in this. “RoutiGo helped us navigate through those phases. From the initial implementation in the Netherlands to expansions into new cities and even countries, RoutiGo was always ready with suitable solutions.”

What began as a practical route planning solution quickly evolved into a scalable and flexible platform that adapted to Crisp's ambitions. When expanding into new regions, RoutiGo was ready with adjustments to route strategy, time windows, and capacity management; the collaboration with RoutiGo enabled flexible adaptation. “Not just by handling tickets, but by actively thinking along with us.”

More than software: proactive thinking, engagement, and foresight

The collaboration extended beyond technology. RoutiGo collaborated on optimizing the customer experience, for example, with specific routes needed for marketing activations or during Christmas deliveries. “That, for me and my team, characterizes the collaboration: RoutiGo was proactive in their approach, and that makes a big difference.”

Collaboration between teams also ran smoothly. RoutiGo consistently struck the right chord, whether it was discussions with operations, marketing, or data analysis. “That flexibility and adaptability made RoutiGo a reliable link in our dynamic environment.”

Results: control, flexibility, and scalability

The impact on operations was tangible and measurable:

  • Real-time communication with our drivers via the driver app
  • Support for multiple teams with one solution
  • Continuous optimization during peak periods like Christmas

After years of successful collaboration, Crisp is parting ways with RoutiGo, but without friction. “The cessation of the partnership carries no negative connotation. Our organization continues to evolve, with an increasing focus on in-house tooling. But the fact that there was never a need for change before now speaks volumes about RoutiGo's quality.”
