Are you considering starting home delivery?

Last Tuesday, the government extended the coronavirus measures until April 28th. Many businesses had already started with home delivery and have decided to continue with it for at least the coming month. Are you also considering starting deliveries?

The delivery market is booming

In recent weeks, the delivery market has exploded due to the coronavirus measures. People are ordering online en masse, restaurants are doing their own deliveries, and hospitality suppliers are joining forces to create food boxes. Besides organizing logistical resources like delivery personnel and vehicles, all these deliveries also need to be scheduled logically. For businesses unaccustomed to this, it can be quite challenging and time-consuming. Normally, we take the time with businesses to properly set up RoutiGo, but we see that there simply isn't time for that now. We therefore decided to relieve everyone as much as possible. With our RoutiGo software, you can normally get started very simply and quickly, but due to the coronavirus crisis, we decided to go a step further. For businesses that want this, we take care of the entire planning. This way, any business can start within 24 hours. You provide the addresses, we handle the rest, also known as RoutiGo-as-a-service.

#SupportyourlocalsNL & Fort Negen

Fort Negen, a bakery from Amsterdam, quickly started using RoutiGo when the first measures were announced. Normally, Fort Negen supplies its bread to restaurants. Because the hospitality industry closed, they had to be creative. Furthermore, they want to encourage social distancing and therefore now deliver delicious fresh bread to your home. They use RoutiGo for planning. Both their customers and they themselves can track the delivery person to the front door via track & trace and know exactly when he or she will arrive. This often means the delivery person doesn't even need to ring the doorbell, ensuring a contactless delivery. Want to know more about Fort Negen's delicious bread? Visit: fortnegen.Another party that plans with RoutiGo is the Supportyourlocals initiative. A few weeks ago, this concept was launched to help hospitality suppliers survive this crisis. Meal boxes filled with products from local suppliers were put together, which you can easily have delivered to your home. This went so well that planning became very time-consuming and difficult as the number of requests continued to grow. RoutiGo's software proved to be a solution. Every day, they send us a list of orders for the next day. We schedule these stops and create logical and efficient routes for their delivery personnel. We now plan an average of 700 deliveries per day for the initiatives in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. These are delivered to recipients by bicycles, electric cars, and even by electric boats. Want to know more about this initiative? Visit: supportlocals.

Want to start with RoutiGo too?

Supportyourlocals and Fort Negen don't have to worry about planning; we do that. They give us the orders, we handle the rest. Want to start with RoutiGo too? Or would you like more information? We are here to help. Feel free to contact us via the contact form or call us at 030 – 7600 018.
